Beating the Bloated Tummy!

Hello sweethearts..
It's been awhile since I've update my blog but today i would like to share with you gals with this problem I've been having every now and then. my tummy is like a puffer fish but worst it inflates most of the time and only deflates when i lie down my bed to sleep every night. it's embarrassing at times when my shirts sticks to my bloated tummy, hehe... so what can i do to lessen the visibility of this bloated tummy? Here are a few tips:

Pick Potassium-Rich Foods
This mineral helps regulate the fluid balance in your body, keeping bloat at bay. High-potassium foods include bananas, cantaloupe, mangoes, spinach, tomatoes, nuts, and asparagus — which contains an amino acid called asparagine that (bonus!) acts as a diuretic to flush excess liquid out of your system.

Keep Your Mouth Shut
Beware of habits that cause you to swallow excess air — like chewing gum, drinking through a straw, smoking, and talking while you're eating, Raymond says.

Cut the P.M. Carbs
Starches like bread and pasta may cause you to retain water. Lay off them before bedtime to keep from waking up puffy.

Can the Soda
The bubbles in carbonated drinks will make your belly pooch out. Stick to plain water, says Jeannie Gazzaniga-Moloo, R.D., a spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association.

Limit Sugar Substitutes
Some people have difficulty digesting artificial sweeteners (especially sorbitol, found in many sugar-free candies and gums — making gum doubly bloat-inducing), which can cause gas and diarrhea, Raymond warns. If you suspect you're one of them, opt for a bit of real sugar instead.

Prep for PMS
If you tend to swell up before (or during) your period, be sure you're getting enough calcium (1,200 mg a day) and magnesium (200 to 400 mg daily) in your diet; both nutrients have been found to help relieve PMS symptoms such as bloating. You can also pop Midol, which contains two mild diuretics.

Apply Pressure
To help evacuate gas, says Raymond, try massaging your abdomen in the direction of your GI tract: Press your fingers near your right hip; slide up toward the ribs, across and down near your colon in a circular motion. Sounds weird — but it works!

Nibble on Parsley
Add fresh, chopped parsley — another natural diuretic — to meals.

Pop a Probiotic
These "good bacteria" (found in supplements and in cultured milk products such as yogurt) can keep you regular and bloat-free, Gazzaniga-Moloo says. In fact, women with irritable bowel syndrome — characterized by abdominal pain, bloating, constipation, and/or diarrhea — who took the probiotic strain B. infantis for four weeks noticed less bloating than those on a placebo, one study shows. Check labels for this strain (which can be found in the supplement Align), or find a similar strain in Dannon Activia yogurt.

Get Moving
Fight constipation by walking for at least 15 to 20 minutes each day to keep food moving through your digestive tract, Raymond suggests. Working up a sweat also releases fluids.

Alhamdulillah...

Hello dearies..
I'm in a happy mode as last night I've got a good news. Yes, finally I've got a job,and now permanently for the government, no more contracts. i was shocked at first as i was really hoping for the job in LHDN as i went for the interview last week, but this is even better. now i really truly understand when all my love ones told me to be patient because there's always rezeki, it's only for the matter of time. I've to report duty at Ministry of Health after I've completed my medical check up and get a signature from the oath commissioner but it all depend on the MOH HQ on where to locate me to. Hope it will only be some place nearby!

Holiday mode are officially over, Farhanah Abdul Rahim, work your ass out! haha.

Haircut!

Afternoon ladies..

at this moment i kind of feel that my hair is in a long mess, therefore i will be getting a haircut soon especially to get rid of the dry end part. but I'm still considering either to rebonded or relax my hair as its so dry and hard to manage, but on days when my hair is okay, i really like the natural curls. so I'm browsing on photos of which hairstyle will i go for..
What do you think?
I would seriously love it if i woke u in the morning and my hair turns out as sexy as Ashley's hair.
Or even this Ashley..
Or for easy maintenance, rebonded sleeky straight.

Still there's time before i make up my mind.

Hoping....

Hello dearies..

Just a short update..

I find it hard to update this days, not so much because I'm busy but there's some things i just wish to keep it to myself as i never want to jinx what I'm hoping to get before the end of this month. I'll keep my mouth shut for now but if i do get it, I'll let you lovely readers know by then.

P/s: I think I'm kind of going through a phase as i get really emotional this day even to the lightest thing.
