Feel Pretty and Save Moolah!

Hello dear Sunshines,
I want to share with you readers some beauty tricks and tips on home beauty splurge that wont coz you much as opposed to those expensive spa treatment at the salon.

Score smooth lips: Give your lips a break from ingredient-packed lip balms and exfoliate them using this simple sugar scrub recipe! Just mix two pinches of sugar with a few drops of water and gently rub the mixture over your lips. Wash with warm water and then apply Vaseline. By exfoliating your pucker, your lips will feel extra smooth and kissable!

Fight breakouts with a banana mask: The summer heat can do a toll on your skin–leaving it oily and greasy, just waiting for a zit to pop up and ruin your night out. Instead of a pricey facial, try this remedy: Get one ripe banana, 1 tsp. honey, and an orange. First, mix the banana and honey together. Then, add a few drops of juice from the orange. Keep mixing, and then apply the mixture to your face for 15 minutes before rinsing off with a cool washcloth. Smooth skin heading your way!

Treat your tresses: The trick to luscious locks? Look to your breakfast choice! It may be hard to believe but a raw egg is actually one of the best hair masks you can use. The yolk is naturally moisturizing if you have dry hair and the white has enzymes that will remove excess grease if you’re prone to oily hair Just use a 1/2 cup of whatever egg part you need for your hair type and use on clean, damp hair. Let sit for 15 minutes and rinse with cool water. Finish by shampooing and conditioning your hair with your normal products. If you have normal hair, you can use the entire egg to condition your hair, followed by washing your hair as usual.

Get a soft hand scrub: Combat flakiness and breakage by treating hands to this soothing vanilla scrub; all you need is 2 cups water, 1 cup milk, 1 1/2 tbsp. olive oil and a pinch of vanilla. Mix the mixture in the microwave for 20 seconds and soak your hands for 10 minutes. After, rinse hands with warm water and dry. Say hello to soft digits!

Happy Spa-ing everyone!

Cousin's Solemnization

Hello dearies..
Wow it has been a very long hiatus from me. Well, I've been caught up with work and I've never been more tired after work than before, therefore i never could seem to find the right timing to update my blog. but i hope that would change as I'm adjusting with my new work schedule. to some of you whom haven't know this yet, I've started to work under Ministry of Health in Serdang Hospital and seriously it's very tiring. i don't deal with patients but the doctors is more of 'pening kepala' to me. But, Insyallah, I'll pass through.

And also i wanted to share with my readers some pictures from my cousin solemnization on the 17th September 2011. Since the couple are still studying in Japan and they've just come back for a few days for the solemnization, the wedding's reception will be in March of next year.

Enjoy the pictures!

Kim K's Wedding!

Hello dears..
Woa it seems i haven't been updating my blog for more than 2 weeks, totally sorry but there's a few personal i have to attend to plus with this fasting month, I've been rather 'lemau' this year than before. i blame the super hot weather and the lack of water i drink during sahur even though i always gulped down 3 glasses of mineral water and 1 cup of tea. anyways, for all muslim, i hope it's not too late to wish 'Salam Ramadhan and happy fasting!'

But what i wanted to blog about today is about this article i came across, which is about what top designer think of the future bride to be reality star Kimberly Kardashian whom is getting married next week on the 20th august should wear to her wedding. First of all, we already know that Vera Wang is designing her wedding gown for her upcoming nuptial and it is still a secret on how her gown would look like but there's no wrong for other designer to fantasies Kim K's sexy curve on their own designs. Let's check them out.

Watters

"Kim Kardashian dresses for many roles: businesswoman, spokesperson, and bombshell," says the Watters design team. "We wanted to honor that bombshell in her, so we looked to Old Hollywood for inspiration. We created this washed organza gown that combines a curve-accentuating silhouette and crystal-and-pearl beading with Marilyn Monroe in The Prince and the Showgirl and Audrey Hepburn's iconic evening dress in My Fair Lady in mind."

Kevan Hall

"I wanted to design a gown that takes Kim from the red carpet to the white carpet," says Kevan Hall. To achieve this, he manipulated iridescent alabaster silk duchess satin into a fitted one-shoulder gown with a dramatic spiral hemline.

Alfred Angelo

Alfred Angelo designer Michael Shettel wanted to create a gown that would appeal to Kim's Elizabeth Taylor-esque shape. "The dramatic sweetheart neckline will show off her décolletage, while the hourglass bodice will highlight her tiny waist," he says. "And the elongated drop waist will show off her much talked about 'ba dunk a dunk.'" The satin gown incorporates crystals, rhinestones and metallic embroidery.

Ines DeSanto

Ines Di Santo designed two dresses in one: "The gown features a detachable train that can be removed after the ceremony, with a short, sexy mini for the reception," she says. The Italian silk satin organza gown also includes cut-out details and Swarovski crystals of diverse sizes embroidered throughout the bodice.

Claire Pettibone

"Kim has an amazing figure and should show that off for her wedding day, but at the same time, a bit of elegance and delicate details give her a fresh, blushing-bride loveliness," says Claire Pettibone. Through the use of silk charmeuse layered with hand-beaded tulle, silk ribbon roses and scattered leaves, and Swarovski crystal-and-pearl accents, the design is both sweet and seductive.

Jennifer Salzman

Jennifer Salzman's silk duchess and silk satin-faced organza gown features a structured bodice and trumpet-style skirt. "The neckline and bodice are simple, so she can add her own jewelry, and the skirt has soft feminine draping with a dramatic billowing train, which falls in line with her sensational red-carpet gown choices," Salzman says. "I added clear crystal beads throughout for some sparkle."

Anne Barge

"I wanted to evoke Kim's high-fashion sense of style and marry it with a gown that screamed bridal, not evening-wear," says Anne Barge. The base of the elongated mermaid bodice is trimmed with ivory French Alençon lace embellished with three-dimensional organza petals and beading. A corsage of trailing lace accents the left shoulder and cascades asymmetrically down the bodice.

What do you think of the designs? Can any of these design beat the one that Vera Wang designs specially for Kim K? We'll just have to wait and see!

Dah Boleh Kahwin!

Hello there..

Hurm, what's u with my title? Finally i can get married since my last weekend, i spent two whole day for the pre-marriage course in Kajang. haha. bu actually I'm not marrying anytime soon but my cousin is going to be married this coming September, therefore we thought what if all of us, cousins go for the course together. at the thought of that, i find it a good idea since if i was to go with Mr. Hilmi only, we would be sitting separately and i might be lonely. so finally yesterday, after two days listening to the talks about future life as husband and wife and family and fighting our sleepiness during the talk, i now hold the pre-wedding course certificate.
So later on, when its time for me to get married, there is no need for me to find the time to do then, since right that time i might be busy doing other weeding stuff, don't you agree?

Liese Hair Cocktail Lite

hello lovelies..

I think I've mention earlier on the condition of my hair, which is dry and frizzy on most days. therefore, a few weeks ago, I've bought myself the Liese Hair Cocktail Lite Moisturizing Hair Serum to try it on my dry hair. i bought myself the lite version which is green in color is because, i think my hair is dry but not as dry or damaged since I've haven't been straightening my hair nor have i exposed them to direct heat since a very long time. the normal type is peach in color. this product consist of the nourishing water serum on the bottom part and the anti-frizz oil is in the upper part.

After a week of use, i found this product amazingly awesome. it really help moisturize my dry hair and made it easy to manage as it tames my frizzy hair plus my hand doesn't feel greasy nor sticky after i apply it on my hand. added bonus is the smell of peaches and prunes on my hair is nice since it's not too strong.
You can either apply it on dry hair or even on wet hair, but most of the time i prefer to put it on when my hair is completely dry as i found that my hair is not as soft when i apply it on wet hair. just make sure before apply it on your hair, you shake the bottle and mix it well. you'll be having a good hair day all day long!

Korean Beauty Tip: 5 Step Skin Care Routine

Hello darlings
Since lately I'm super craze with all things Korean, i envy their flawless skin therefore I've look up on some of their beauty secrets.
i found 5 step beauty routine that Koreans does from this site.

"I grew up thinking that it was enough to have a 3-step skin care routine. Wash – tone – moisturize. Only recently, i learned that it would take more steps if you want to really take good care of your skin. Korean and Japanese women are known to follow a 5-step skin routine.
The 5-Step Skin Care Routine is Korean women’s biggest beauty secret to flawless skin.
Here’s the 5-step routine:

1. Double cleansing —> 2. Massage & mask —> 3. Tone —> 4. Essence —> 5. Moisturize

Phew! Let’s find out in detail what each step is all about.

1. Double Cleansing
Thoroughly cleanse your skin with makeup remover and cleanser before going to sleep. Never ever go to sleep with your makeup still on!
Have you heard of Cleansing Oil? It is a washable oil that is emulsified with water to quickly remove all makeup, grease and dirt. One very famous brand is the Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil. It removes all traces of makeup gently yet effectively as well as other types of pore clogging dirt while maintaining skin’s natural sebum levels

2. Massage & Mask
Facial massage is the secret to glowing skin. Apply a massage pack or cream and massage your face. You could even use a gentle scrub. It is exercise for your skin.
A facial massage improves blood circulation and is a great stress reliever! Facial massages also stimulates the flow of oxygen and nutrients to improve the elasticity of your skin. The skin temperature rises, opening pores and pushes out the dirt embedded deep within the skin. Your skin will look visibly fresher, younger and glows after a massage.
Incorporate a facial massage into your beauty regime at least 2 – 3 times a week for visible results.

A word of caution for those with acne or oily skin, massaging will agitate the oil glands and increase oil secretion. So refrain from massaging.

On the days you do not indulge in a facial massage, apply a mask on your face. There are many types of masks out there in stores, but the two that are most important are clarifying mask (deep cleanses the skin) and moisture mask.

Facial masks should be applied 1 – 2 times a week, after cleansing and preferably at night.

3. Tone
Some might think that toners are useless. But toners actually remove dead skin cells and residue from cleansers. Choose a toner that is suitable for your skin type.

4. Essence/serum
Essence or serums are very light, liquid concentrated treatments to correct skin problems. Essence is easier absorbed and penetrates deep into your skin, better than regular moisturizers. For best results, wait 5 minutes after applying serums before applying your moisturizer to allow maximum absorption. Because of their concentrated affects, serums are generally more expensive.

5. Moisturize
Choose a moisturizer suitable for your skin and use it diligently.

I am not one who is blessed with flawless skin, but i have learned that no matter what your skin type, you could make it better by paying extra attention to your skin care routine."

Beating the Bloated Tummy!

Hello sweethearts..
It's been awhile since I've update my blog but today i would like to share with you gals with this problem I've been having every now and then. my tummy is like a puffer fish but worst it inflates most of the time and only deflates when i lie down my bed to sleep every night. it's embarrassing at times when my shirts sticks to my bloated tummy, hehe... so what can i do to lessen the visibility of this bloated tummy? Here are a few tips:

Pick Potassium-Rich Foods
This mineral helps regulate the fluid balance in your body, keeping bloat at bay. High-potassium foods include bananas, cantaloupe, mangoes, spinach, tomatoes, nuts, and asparagus — which contains an amino acid called asparagine that (bonus!) acts as a diuretic to flush excess liquid out of your system.

Keep Your Mouth Shut
Beware of habits that cause you to swallow excess air — like chewing gum, drinking through a straw, smoking, and talking while you're eating, Raymond says.

Cut the P.M. Carbs
Starches like bread and pasta may cause you to retain water. Lay off them before bedtime to keep from waking up puffy.

Can the Soda
The bubbles in carbonated drinks will make your belly pooch out. Stick to plain water, says Jeannie Gazzaniga-Moloo, R.D., a spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association.

Limit Sugar Substitutes
Some people have difficulty digesting artificial sweeteners (especially sorbitol, found in many sugar-free candies and gums — making gum doubly bloat-inducing), which can cause gas and diarrhea, Raymond warns. If you suspect you're one of them, opt for a bit of real sugar instead.

Prep for PMS
If you tend to swell up before (or during) your period, be sure you're getting enough calcium (1,200 mg a day) and magnesium (200 to 400 mg daily) in your diet; both nutrients have been found to help relieve PMS symptoms such as bloating. You can also pop Midol, which contains two mild diuretics.

Apply Pressure
To help evacuate gas, says Raymond, try massaging your abdomen in the direction of your GI tract: Press your fingers near your right hip; slide up toward the ribs, across and down near your colon in a circular motion. Sounds weird — but it works!

Nibble on Parsley
Add fresh, chopped parsley — another natural diuretic — to meals.

Pop a Probiotic
These "good bacteria" (found in supplements and in cultured milk products such as yogurt) can keep you regular and bloat-free, Gazzaniga-Moloo says. In fact, women with irritable bowel syndrome — characterized by abdominal pain, bloating, constipation, and/or diarrhea — who took the probiotic strain B. infantis for four weeks noticed less bloating than those on a placebo, one study shows. Check labels for this strain (which can be found in the supplement Align), or find a similar strain in Dannon Activia yogurt.

Get Moving
Fight constipation by walking for at least 15 to 20 minutes each day to keep food moving through your digestive tract, Raymond suggests. Working up a sweat also releases fluids.

Alhamdulillah...

Hello dearies..
I'm in a happy mode as last night I've got a good news. Yes, finally I've got a job,and now permanently for the government, no more contracts. i was shocked at first as i was really hoping for the job in LHDN as i went for the interview last week, but this is even better. now i really truly understand when all my love ones told me to be patient because there's always rezeki, it's only for the matter of time. I've to report duty at Ministry of Health after I've completed my medical check up and get a signature from the oath commissioner but it all depend on the MOH HQ on where to locate me to. Hope it will only be some place nearby!

Holiday mode are officially over, Farhanah Abdul Rahim, work your ass out! haha.

Haircut!

Afternoon ladies..

at this moment i kind of feel that my hair is in a long mess, therefore i will be getting a haircut soon especially to get rid of the dry end part. but I'm still considering either to rebonded or relax my hair as its so dry and hard to manage, but on days when my hair is okay, i really like the natural curls. so I'm browsing on photos of which hairstyle will i go for..
What do you think?
I would seriously love it if i woke u in the morning and my hair turns out as sexy as Ashley's hair.
Or even this Ashley..
Or for easy maintenance, rebonded sleeky straight.

Still there's time before i make up my mind.

Korean Drama Craze - Marry me Mary!

Hi there..
i don't know from what i'm getting this, but i'm all for watching korean dramas back to back. i've just finished watching the whole 16 episodes of Marry me, Mary or Mary Stayed out all Night! and they are a few more lined up to be watched as of currently, I'm watching the one airing in Astro channel 391 titled 'Baby-faced Beauty'. so about the one I've just seen 'Mary Me, Mary' starring none other by Jang Guen Suk as the main hero, he is so hot! The story is about this cute bubbly girl Wi Mae Ri (Moon Guen Young) whom was forced by her father to marry a wealthy man's son, Jung-In (Kim Jae Wook)whom helped clear out Mae Ri's father debt. The families knew each other from back then when the children were little. Mae Ri protest in the marriage proposal as she believes in marrying someone who she'll fall in love naturally. In an accident, Mae Ri met Kang Moo Kyul (Jang Guen Suk), a cold hearted street musician whom will never marry and does not date a girl more than a month. Mae ri convince Moo Kyul to a fake marriage as to avoid in marrying Jung-In set up by her father and future father in law. But as time flies, Jung-In trying very hard to seduce Mae Ri in becoming his wife, Mae Ri realize that she has fallen for Moo Kyul for real rather than acting. As for Moo Kyul, the once cold person has suddenly changed of personality as he falls madly in love with the warmth of a loving person Mae Ri is. but as there is still the deal between families, Mae is torn in choosing between the two guys, one of them whom she love and the other one as staying loyalty to her family. Of most i love about this drama is the songs, yes the OST were awesome, i don't think i can ever get enough! Check them out here.
How hot is he? And how cute is she?
